Why Memoura exists

My grandparents loved music. As a teenager, I remember sitting in our living room while my grandma played piano and my grandpa sang along. Every time they visited, they’d put on their show for us. It happened so often that I never thought much about it — I always assumed they’d be around to drop by and sing us another song.

I didn’t realize that one of those times would be the last.

Life moves on, and the details start to fade. Not the big milestones — you remember those. But the smaller things. My grandpa’s voice in the background. The first “I love you” from my wife. My kids’ first belly laugh. Random conversations, inside jokes, little moments you didn’t think to write down because they felt so normal.

And then one day you realize you don’t remember them as clearly as you thought you would.

That’s what led to Memoura. Because it turns out, the small moments are the ones you end up missing the most.
